Split Gatefold Note cards
With Spellbinders April 2024 Club Kits!
Hello there! Today I am sharing some fun and easy to make note cards, featuring Spellbinders April 2024 Small Die and Glimmer Kit of the month! All of these note cards measure 5 ½” tall by 4 ¼” wide and can go inside A2 size envelopes.
To create an A2 size split gatefold card base we need to score a piece of cardstock that measures 5 ½” x 8 ½” at 2 ⅛” from both ends (make sure to have your panel on landscape orientation as you score it!). Once we are done scoring both sides we can fold the right and left flap in and begin decorating the front of the split gatefold note card!
To do so, I used the Spellbinders “Faux Stitched Sentiment and Floss” die set to cut out the sentiments “For You” and “Thanks” as well as the colorful embroidery flosses. To make the sentiment “Obrigada” I used an old alphabet die set by Spellbinders and I stacked three die cut pieces of each letter to make it stand out since it is so thin!
I used the Bearly Art glue to adhere the die cut pieces, and I did go over each die cut sentiment with a shimmer pen to add some sparkle! Inside the note cards with a sentiment in English at the front, I added a white panel with a hot foiled sub sentiment that I created using hot foil plates included in the “Sew Amazing” hot foil set. To stamp a sub sentiment that would go inside the note card with a sentiment in Portuguese at the front, I simply used the American Typewriter Pegs Bundle and black pigment ink!
For the envelopes, I chose kraft color envelopes and I hot foiled the flap of each one with golden foil and hot foil plates included in the “Sew Amazing” hot foil set!
