Ink Blending Over Foiled Paper
Hello crafters! In this post I will show you how to create quick and easy foiled panels for your note cards without the need of a foiling machine! Paper Rose offers a variety of gorgeous foiled paper, and that is what I used to create these note cards! If you are interested, know that it is now available at Spellbinders website!
I began by cutting out the panels that I wanted to use from the 12 x 12 foiled sheets. Then I ink blended over these panels using Distress Oxide ink pads and blending brushes! Before switching colors I make sure to wipe off the ink that was sitting on top of the foiled patterns to bring back its shine.
For the blue panel I used Distress Oxide Ink pads in the colors “Tumbled Glass”, “Faded Jeans” and “Chipped Sapphire”; For the pink note card I used “Spun Sugar”, Kitsch Flamingo” and “Dusty Concor”; for the orange note card I used “Squeezed Lemonade”, “Abandoned Coral” and “Spiced marmalade”.
To cut out sentiment and flowers I used old sets by Spellbinders. I made sure to stack three die cuts of each sentiment to make them stand out, and I chose to cut it out of silver foil cardstock so it would match the silver foiled panel! I cut these flowers out of the same color of cardstock that I used for each card base and I added flat back beads in the center of these flowers by using strong liquid adhesive and a wax pencil to help me pick it up! At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these cards. I appreciate you visiting today and happy crafting!
