Tri-Fold Note Cards

Hello crafters! Today I will be sharing a fun card design idea, featuring the “We Heart You” cling rubber stamp set from the House- Mouse Winter collection by Spellbinders!

To create a trifold card base we need two side folding  note cards. I chose to use two 4 ½” x 3 ½” note cards because these images are small but you should choose the size of your card base according to the size of the stamp you are using. To create two note cards at once I cut my cardstock to 9” x 7” and with this panel in portrait orientation, I scored and folded it in half at 3 ½”. Then, I cut it in half to get two 4 ½” x 3 ½” note cards.

After that, I numbered each side of the card base using a pencil so I could erase it after I finished stamping each mouse. These numbers will help you know where you should stamp each image!  To stamp I used Memento Tuxedo black ink pad. To be able to individually stamp each mouse on each panel of this tri-fold note card, after I applied ink to the stamp, I placed full sticky post-its over sections of the stamp to mask the areas that I did not want to stamp on each panel.

To color each mouse I used Copic markers in the colors E33 and 0 for the body, RV000 for the face, RV-4 and RV09 for the pink lollipops and R24 and R27 for the red lollipop. To decorate this note card I used small die cut flowers and leaves that I create using olde sets by Spellbinders. For the sentiment I die cut the words “love” and “You” and placed it next to the “I” shaped lollipop. To cut out these words I used the Spellbinders September 2021 small die of the month (Layered Mix & Match Sentiments). Unfortunately not available anymore. After I finished coloring and adhered the panels together  I decided to trim this card base to 4 ¼” tall to better fit my stamped images!

To make the lollipops shiny and glossy I went over them with a shimmer pen. After that I applied Ranger Glossy Accents on top and let it dry for a couple of hours.
