With Spellbinders Classic Road 2.0 Collection!
There’s something magical about crafting with a collection that blends nostalgia and playful details — and that’s exactly what the Spellbinders Classic Road 2.0 Collection by Mindy Eggen brings to the craft table. Inspired by the retro cars, scenic elements, and energetic shapes in this release, I created a set of note cards that feel fun, vibrant, and full of personality. Each one has its own little story, and I loved bringing them to life!
I started with the Sedan Street Cruiser die set, layering some of the die cuts over softly blended backgrounds that capture desert sunsets and open roads. Next came the bold hot‑rod designs — full of energy and color! I used bright blues, reds, and pinks with glittered flame accents to bring these cars to life. Each one feels like it’s speeding off the page, ready for a new adventure. These cards are playful yet detailed, and I love how they capture the excitement of crafting something unique for someone special!
One of my favorite parts of this project was combining the new Classic Road 2.0 sets with some of my well‑loved Spellbinders staples. The Urban Grid 3D Embossing Folder added the perfect textured background — subtle, modern, and full of dimension. I also brought in the We Are All Family – Glimmer Hot Foil Set to add a shiny, heartfelt sentiment! Blending older favorites with new releases always makes the creative process feel richer, and it’s a great reminder that our craft supplies can work beautifully across collections.
Coordinating envelopes complete the look, with sentiments that echo the cards’ theme. It’s those little details — the matching colors, the thoughtful phrases — that make handmade cards feel extra meaningful!
