Walk In His Light!

Hello crafters! Today I have a card example for you, featuring the Spellbinders “Flowers & Foliage” 3D embossing folder. This is a 8 ½” x 5 ½” folder and it provides stunning results! To create my card base I placed a folded A2 side folding note card inside my embossing folder so I could add texture to both sides of the note card. Before I ran it through my die cut machine, I misted the cardstock with water to avoid crackers and tears.

In order to create a smooth space to write a personal message later, I added two 4” x 5 ¼” white panels inside my note card. I also dry embossed an arched panel that I adhere to the front of my note card using foam adhesive.

To create the die cut flowers I used the Spellbinders”Club Blooms” die set; and to create the hot foiled sentiment I used a hot foil plate from an old set by Spellbinders that unfortunately is discontinued (Faith Glimmer Sentiments), and a piece of Prism foil. Even though the Spellbinders Faith Glimmer Sentiments is discontinued , I was able to find it available at a few other online stores, and I included it in the supply list below.

To make the arched panel stand out, I ink blended over it with Simon Says Stamp ink pad in the color Lilac. In the center of each flower I adhered silver flat back beads  using strong liquid adhesive. To decorate the flap of the envelope, I created a wax seal with the Spellbinders “Timeless Blooms” wax seal stamp, and wax beads in the colors “Cotton Candy” and “Silver”.  At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make this note card. Thank you for visiting today and happy crafting!
