Envelope Of Wonder

Hi there! Today I have some card examples for you featuring the Spellbinders “Envelope of Wonder” stamp and die set, part of the “Envelope Of Wonder” collection! This collection has many wonderful sets that allow us to create note cards for many different occasions, which is just  wonderful!

I began by creating the base for all of my note cards using white cardstock. To do so I used the large envelope shaped metal plate to die cut a note card in the shape of an envelope out of a 5” x 7” card base. I placed the metal plate on top of my folded 5” x 7” card base and offset it a little on the crease side so the front and back would stay connected.

The beautiful colorful cardstock that I used are also by Spellbinders and you can find a supply list for all products used at the end of this post.  To adhere these die cuts to my note cards I used strong liquid adhesive that dries clear, and a pair of self lock tweezers to hold the very small pieces.

To add some depth to the die cut leaves I ink blended over these green die cuts using a darker shade of green ink pad and a blending brush.

To stamp the sentiment, I used black pigment ink and clear embossing powder. I stamped it on an already die cut tag and heat set it, just to make the sentiment glossy! To add some interest to these flowers I used either Nuvo Drops, metallic gold cardstock or flat back beads in the center!

To add some dimension to each large flower on the top of each envelope I adhered a pop up mechanism in the back that I created using a metal plate included in the set! You can click here to watch me creating!

And finally, to make these envelopes even more special I went over my old Spellbinders die sets and created butterflies and birds that I adhered to each font panel! I love how these note cards turned out and I hope you felt inspired ! Thank you so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!

Can you tell me the name of the flat GOLD gems you used to accent the branched flowers? They aren’t listed and they aren’t the flat back yellow gems you do have listed. Thanks

Hi! Those are actually die cuts! I cut it from Recollections Gold Foil Cardstock using a metal plate included in the “Envelope Of Wonder”set. I completely forgot to add this cardstock, but the list is updated now! Thanks for visiting and have fun creating!
