Day Of The Dead

Dancin’ Halloween

Hello carters! Today I have some really fun note cards to share with you featuring a few die sets from the Spellbinders “Dancing Halloween” new collection! I am crazy about this collection as it allows us to easily create beautiful note cards with a fun interactive element!

To create the girl I used the “Dancin’ Girl Day of the Dead” die set. This set comes with 11 metal plates to create an adorable day of the dead girl with a dress that swings back and forth! These beautiful colors of cardstock are also by Spellbinders, and you can find a supply list at the end of this post! To add some interest to the background panel I used the “Botanical Diamond embossing folder”. For the sentiment, I used stamps from the “Boo Dance Party” stamp set. This is an old set with great halloween sentiments! However, if you are interested, know that Spellbinders also released a stamp set meant to be used with the “Dancing Halloween” die sets!

For this second note card I used the “Dancin’ Boy Day of the Dead” along with the spellbinders “Geometric Stripes” embossing folder! To make his eyes, nose and mouth pop I applied Ranger Glossy Accents. The “Dancin’ Boy Day of the Dead” set comes with 9 metal plates to create this adorable guy and his legs also swing back and forth for an added surprise for the recipient! As a final touch I added lots of sparkle to the background panel using an iridescent gel pen!

And finally, here is a note card featuring the” Dancin’ Grim” die set. This one comes with 6 metal plates to create a ghoul and guess what?! His robe also swings back and forth! For the background panel I used the “Head in the Clouds” embossing folder, and I also applied Ranger Glossy accents to his eyes and nose to make it very glossy in person! When combining stamping and embossing techniques remember to stamp before dry embossing your panel for better results!  Also, to assemble all of these characters I used small pieces of foam adhesive in order to make the swing mechanism work.

Last but not least, here is a bonus card featuring the boy and the girl together. I had so much fun creating these note cards and I hope you felt inspired! For more information make sure to watch this video ! Thank you so much for visiting today and happy crafting!
