Stitched Note Cards
With Spellbinders March 2024 Stitching Die Of The Month!
Hello crafters! Today I have a few card examples featuring the Spellbinders “Stitched Read & Sip” die set. All of these note cards are top folding and measure 5 ½” tall by 4 ¼” wide.
I began by adding texture to the front panel of each note card by dry embossing it with the Spellbinders “Checkered Scallops” embossing folder. Then, I cut out the pieces for these note cards and began stitching. I stacked two pieces of each stitching die cut just to make it stronger. To stitch the center of each tea cup, I used DMC light gold thread. And, to stitch the books I used either blue of black DMC 6 ply floss.
To adhere the die cut books to the front of my note cards, I used the Bearly Art glue. To adhere each tea cup to the front panel, I used foam adhesive in order to add some dimension!
To create the hot foiled sentiments in English, I used a hot foil plate included in the Spellbinders “Sketched Lines” set. To create the foiled sentiments in Portuguese, I printed it with a laser printer and foiled it with a piece of golden Thermoweb-Deco Foil and my laminator!
