Stitched Note cards

Hello crafters! With this post I want to share two card designs featuring the Spellbinders May 2024 Stitching Die Of the Month, called “Stitched Pineapple”. The metal plates included in this set will allow us to create a large layered pineapple, with die cut patterns that we can use for stitching if we want to!

I decided to create two similar note cards to show you that even though this die set was designed so we can stitch on the die cut cardstock, we will be able to create beautiful projects if we chose to skip the stitching part, because we can’t or do not feel like stitching! Spellbinders sets are always beautifully and thoughtfully designed and it is always fun to create with their clubs!

To do the stitching on one note card, I used golden metallic DMC floss, and I added flat back beads in the center of each round stitched section! For the other note card I skipped the stitching part and simply added golden flat back beads in the center of each round section of the die cut pineapple!

To add  metallic accents to each pineapple crown I adhered each green die cut on top of another same piece that I cut out of metallic green cardstock, slightly offsetting  the die cut on top , so as a small section of the metallic green at the bottom would be visible . 

To add some interest to the white background panel of both of these note cards, I used the Spellbinders “Lattice Work” embossing folder, also released as the May 2024 embossing folder of the month!

For the sentiment I added a hot foil sentiment strip. I did the reverse foiling technique with the leftover pieces of foil from the first note card, so nothing would go to waste! As a final touch I added small die cut flowers and leaves that I already had around.
