Stained Glass Window Note Cards
Hello crafters! Today I have three note cards designs to share with you featuring the Simon Says Stamp “Love Birds” die plate. Since this is a very intricate plate, I decided to give it a stained glass look and I will show you how on this video!
These notecards are A2 size side folding, and I chose a kraft color of cardstock for my card bases. Using a circle die plate I cut out a window at the front of each note card, then I added some texture to these kraft card bases by running it through my die cut machine with the Honey Bee Stamps “Spring Leaves A2 Pierce Cover Plate”
Since the kraft color cardstock that I chose is only 65 LB I added white panels inside to make these note cards feel very sturdy so the recipient can keep it on display! To cut out a dark brown frame for my circle window I used that same circle metal plate along with a slightly bigger one.
To add a stained glass look to the love birds die cut I adhered 3 stacked die cuts on a piece of 4” x 51/4” white cardstock. Then I colored each panel with Copic markers and added some shimmer by using a shimmer pen. After that I applied a generous amount of RAnger Glossy accents on top! To make everything look neat, I added another love bird die cut on top that I cut out of a mirror gold cardstock this time. Make sure to wait a couple of hours for the Ranger Glossy Accents to dry before adding this last layer of die cut!
To cut out the sentiment Hello, I used a plate included in the Honey bee Stamps “Slimline Sentiments: Eyelet” set, and to die cut the sentiment “Te amo” I used a metal plate included in the Mama Elephant “Big Spanish Words. At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these cards. I hope you felt inspired and thank you for visiting my blog! Happy crafting and have a great day!
