Pop Up Nutcrackers Note Cards!

Hello crafters! Today I have some Christmas note cards to share with you! I know it is only February, but holidays go by so fast that I have decided to start creating Christmas note cards all year round now! Since Christmas is my favorite holiday, I have lots of seasonal stamps and die sets that I haven’t used yet, or haven’t used enough because every year I run out of time!

I actually created these notecards in December last year, but I’m only now finding the time to edit the YouTube video and post this blog! To create these note cards, I used the Concord and 9th, “Winter Wonderland” die set.

There was definitely a lot of die cutting and assembling die cuts involved to create the nutcrackers, but I loved every second of it! It was like putting a puzzle togehter! You can click here to watch me putting the die cut pieces together!

To add some interest to the background panel, I used the Memory Box “PinpointSnowflake” metal plate. As you are assembling these pieces, make sure to use a strong liquid adhesive that dries clear, so you don’t have to worry too much about the glue oozing out! It also helps to use a wax pencil to pick up the small die cut pieces!

These notecards are A2 size, and even though they can go flat inside the envelope, there is actually a pop up element inside, with many more nutcrackers to surprise the recipient! To create the mechanism for the pop up element, I use the Concord and 9th “Pop Up Base” die set. To create sentiment in Portuguese, I use the Spellbinders “Simply Perfect” alphabet die set to cut out the letters. And for the note cards with sentiments in English, I stamped the sentiment with black ink before I ran it through my die cut machine, with the Memory Box “PinpointSnowflake” metal plate.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and felt inspired! At the end there is a list of all supplies used to make these cards. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
