Hot Foiling With Press Plates
Hello crafters! Today I have some card designs to share with you featuring a few press plates from Spellbinder’s “The Every Occasion Floral Alphabet” collection! I have recently purchased the BetterPress LetterPress system, and even though I am loving the results, today I decided to use these press plates to do the hot foiling technique!
To do so I used silver foil and my Glimmer machine. I removed any excess foiling with a sand eraser and adhered each hot foiled panel to a 5 ⅕” wide by 4 ¼” tall note card. To color the flowers and leaves I used copic markers in the colors 110, RV32 and G40.
To frame each hot foiled panel I cut out these very intricate, lace-like frames using the Spellbinders” Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate” die set. As a final touch I added tiny flat back rhinestones in the center of each flower and silver die cut butterflies!
At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these note cards. I hope you felt inspired and I appreciate you visiting my blog today. Happy crafting and until next time!
