Halloween Cards With Easy Shaker Elements

Hi there! In this post I am sharing two slimline halloween cards that I made using products from many different companies. Both of these slimline cards measure 3 ½” x 8 ½”, and I also made slimline envelopes using a die set by Simon Says Stamp. 

I used  heavy weight cardstock for the base of both of these  cards. The ink blending was made on top of a black cardstock, and there are  little surprises inside each one of these cards!

This first card features a matching orange envelope. Since I did not leave any room for a sentiment on the front panel of this card, I added a die cut sentiment to the envelope. I love doing that sometimes! I do think that the envelope is just as important as the card and I really take my time to add something special to the envelope. This card features a pumpkin hanging on a branch that actually shakes! I sandwiched a piece of clear nylon thread between the pumpkin and the branch die cuts. To make the black cat stand  out a bit I applied  Ranger glossy accents to make it glossy. 

For this second card the shaking element is the ghost, which is very shiny in person, since I used my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen. It is very similar to the first slimline card. The main difference between these two cards is that I used  Ranger  distress oxide ink in the color Black Soot to create the clouds in the background for the first card; and to make the clouds in the background for this second card, I used a watermark stamp pad and Perfect Pearls in the colors Blue Patina and Pewter.
