Envelope Of Wonder

Halloween

Hello crafters! Today I’m sharing a few more envelope shaped note cards featuring the Spellbinders “Halloween Wonder” and the “Envelope Of Wonder” die sets. These sets are part of the “Envelope Of Wonder” collection, recently released by Spellbinders!

To create an envelope shaped card base, I used the envelope shaped metal plate and die cut it out of a 5” x 7”, offsetting the metal plate just a little on the crease side to cut out two connected pieces that I could use as a card base.

To make the process more efficient I cut all of the pieces needed at once. To adhere the die cuts to the envelope base, I used strong liquid adhesive, and a pair of self lock tweezers to hold the small die cut pieces.

To make the black cats’ eyes glossy I applied Ranger Glossy accents. For the sentiment, I stamped “To my favorite ghoul” on a tag die cut piece.

To add some shading to these ghost die cuts, I applied Ranger Distress Oxide ink in the color “Hickory Smoke ” around the edges, then I applied a shimmer spray on top to make it shiny! To add some dimension to the large ghost on each note card, I adhered a pop up mechanism in the back that I created by using a die plate included in the  “Envelope Of Wonder” die set.

At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these cards. Thank you for visiting today and happy crafting!
