Dancin’ Hearts Note Cards!

Hello crafty friends! Today I have some adorable Valentine’s Day note cards featuring the Spellbinders “Dancin’ Hearts” die set. This is not a new release, and unfortunately it is not available at Spellbinders website. However, I was able to find it at a few other websites, and you can check it out at the end of this post, if you are interested. This year I decided not to not purchase any Valentine’s day stamps or die sets because I still have some awesome products that I purchased last year, and haven’t used it yet or used it enough!

I absolutely love this set because we can quickly, and easily create Valentine’s day note cards with an interactive element (the legs of these hearts move from side to side!). Today’s note cards are A2 top folding. I began by dry embossing 4” x 5 ¼” pieces of white cardstock using the Spellbinders “Garden Path” embossing folder.  Before I ran it through my die cut machine, I misted each panel with some water to prevent my cardstock from cracking as I ran it through my die cut machine.

Assembling the die cut pieces to create these hearts was very straightforward and it did not involve a lot of die cut pieces. You can click here to watch me creating these note cards. There are many ways we can position the arms and many options to choose from for the eyes, hands and shoes. Also, we can definitely add some other die cut elements for these heart characters to hold, such as presents and balloons to create note cards for many other occasions!

To make the “Be Mine” sentiment stand out I stacked a few die cuts and went over it with my Spectrum Noir shimmer pen for some sparkle. Then, I applied Ranger glossy accents on top to make it glossy.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and felt inspired! At the end there is a list of all supplies used to make these note cards. Thank you so much for stopping by and Happy Valentine’s Day!
