Creating With Cardstock Strips !

Hi there! Today I have lots of card examples for you using cardstock strips! Once in a while, I like to go over the leftover pieces of cardstock that I have and cut them into strips, so I can create panels for my notecards. I find this to be a great way for using up your cardstock scraps and not letting anything  go to waste!

To cut my leftover pieces of cardstock into strips, I like to use a die set from Simon Says stamp. Another option is to simply use a paper trimmer and cut cardstock strips into different widths.

To adhere these cardstock strips to a panel, I used liquid adhesive this time, but know that it is also an option, and maybe faster if you use double sided adhesive sheets. Once I had my panels ready, I ran them through my die cut machine using pierced cover plates just to add some interest!

To create the sentiment I combined the Honey Bee Stamps “Birthday” die and the Creative Expressions “Happy Birthday” mini shadowed sentiment die. And, to finish it off I added some die cut elements to some of these notecards. To make the envelopes match I added some cardstock strips to the flap of each envelope. I created Happy Birthday note cards because that is what I need, but you can make notecards for any occasion by simply changing the sentiment!

You can click here to watch me create these notecards. I was able to make 27 notecards and in this video I will have lots of tips for mass producing. I hope you enjoy it! At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these notecards. Thank you for visiting today and happy crafting!
