Creating Fun Pug Shaped Note Cards

Hello crafters! Today I have 3 card examples featuring some new sets from Spellbinders “Cats and Pugs” collection, by Bibi Cameron. This is an outstanding collection, perfect for pet lovers!  These unique shaped note cards will be a nice surprise for the recipients and they are perfect for keeping on display!

  • To create a pug shaped note card, cut two pieces out of white cardstock using the largest metal plate (the pug base)  included in the Spellbinders “Big Pug” die set. Score a horizontal line on one die cut,  about ½” from the top. Add liquid adhesive above the score line and glue the other die cut on top.
  • Cut out the pug pieces using any color you like. You can dd  shading around the edges with a darker color of ink for some added interest if you like!
  • Adhere the die cuts using strong liquid adhesive. Use foam adhesive to adhere the ears and a smiley or droopy lip.

Tips:

  • Tip 01: Cut out all needed pieces at once to make the process faster and more efficient.
  • Tip 02: Use heavy weight cardstock so the note cards can stand nicely on display.
  • Tip 03: Remember that you can use googly eyes instead of die cuts to make these pugs look even more adorable!
