Catalog Your Favorite Distress Oxide Color Combos
I have a pretty nice collection of Ranger Distress Oxide Inks, and I love it! The colors are stunning and there are so many ways you can use it!
However, oftentimes I see a color combo that I love, and then, weeks later, when I need it to make a card, I just can’t remember the colors that were used!
So, after watching Justine Hoovey’s video on this Memorydex, by Heidi Swapp, I decided to do the same, and catalog some of my favorite distress oxide color combos.
This way, in the future, I can just flip through the rolodex to find the perfect background color combo, for the card that I am making.
To cut the cards for the Memorydex, I used the Heidi Swapp die set. I also cut some extra cards, so If a see a color combo that I like or if I come up with a new one, I can easily catalog it.
If you do not have a die cutting machine, know that there is a punch that you can buy.
I also cut out all of the words and sentiments that I have, and added it to these cards. I store some of my dies in a box, and some in magnet sheets that I have taped to a wall in my craft room; and sometimes it takes me a while to figure it out what it says, if the die has some really fancy letters! So this Memorydex will also be a good reminder of the dies that I have and need to use!
Now, when I flip through this Memorydex, I will not only feel inspired by these beautiful color combos, but also reminded of the die cutting plates that I have and need to use. Also, it looks very cute on my desk and I can’t wait to fill it up!
