Cameo Note Cards

With A Surprise Window!

Hello crafters! Today I have a few note cards to share with you featuring the Spellbinders “Cameo” die set. These note cards can go inside A2 size envelopes and they all have a surprise window!

When the note card is closed it looks like a solid front panel; however, when we open it you realize that part of the front panel was die cut and adhered to the inside of the note card!

For the base of the note cards I used 80 LB white cardstock. Usually I prefer using a heavier weight cardstock, but since I needed to cut through two layers at once (the front of the white card base and the colored cardstock panel) I thought it would be easier to use a lightweight cardstock.

To make sure I die cut a window in the same spot from the front panel and the front of the card base, using a removable adhesive, I temporarily adhered the front panel to the card base, before I ran it through my die cut machine, using the laurel frame plate. Then I separated the two pieces so I could add some interest only to the front panel by using the Honey Bee Stamps “Spring Leaves” A2 cover plate. Once that was done I permanently adhered my 4” x 5 ¼”  front panel to my 5 ½” 4 ¼” card base and added all of the other die cut pieces!

For the foiled sentiment, I used the Spellbinders “Mini Everyday Sentiments” Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. I was able to create 3 note cards from different occasions and you can click here for more information! Thank you so much for visiting today and happy crafting! At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these cards
