Stitched Bee Note Cards

Hello crafters! Today I have two card designs to share with you featuring the Spellbinders January 2024 Stitching Die Of The Month, named “Bee Stitched”.  This set comes with metal plates to create a large die cut bee as well as branches and flower buds!

Today’s note cards are 5” x 7” and can go inside A7 size envelopes. It has been a while since I last made a note card this big and I really enjoyed it!  I usually make A2 size note cards; however, I think I might be creating more A7 size note cards this year! It is a good size for featuring more of your background panels, especially when you need to cover a section of it with  a die cut element.

Even though this is a stitching set you can definitely skip the stitching step if you don’t feel like stitching! The metal plates cut out gorgeous patterns on the cardstock and your project will look just as beautiufl!

Today I decided to stitch each die cut bee using DMC floss in the color 310 for the body, and 415 for the wings. Make sure to click here to watch me creating these note cards! For the sentiment I hot foiled “God is Love” using an old set by Spellbinders named “Faith Glimmer Sentiments”, unfortunately not available anymore. However, keep in mind that you can add any sentiment set that you might already have. If you like creating hot foiled sentiments, I have included in the supply list below another one of my favorites hot foil plate sentiment sets!

To adhere each bee to each note card, I used foam adhesive so it has some dimension. To add texture to the background of the note card with the black and yellow bee I used the Spellbinders “Flowers & Foliage” 3D embossing folder, by Wendy Vecchi. To add some sparkle to each flower bud, I used my Nuvo shimmer pen, and as a final touch, I added tiny flat back beads around the top and bottom branches!

To personalize the envelopes, I created wax seals using the Spellbinders “Timeless Blooms” wax seal stamp! At the end of this post there is a list of all supplies used to make these note cards. Thank you for visiting my blog today and happy crafting!
